Malinda Smith Wright

Funeral services for Malinda Smith Wright, 103 of Brazoria will be Friday, June 15, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor L.C. Dews officiating and Rev. Larry Jackson eulogizing. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.

She died Friday, June 8, 2012 at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. She was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, reading and writing poetry.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Julian and Adeline Green Smith, husband; Alex C. Wright, Sr., sons; Louis James Wright and Joseph Wright, daughters-in-law; Essie Wright and Vera Wright, grandchild; Ethan
Wright, Jr., 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

She is survived by her sons; Ethan Wright (Dorothy), Sweeny, A.C. Wright, Jr.(Lillian) and Ernest Wright, Brazoria, daughter, Verna Wright Millage (James) and granddaughter reared as daughter; Valencia La'Shaye Charbonnet (Clement) both of Pearland, daughter-in-law; Jewel Wright, Houston, 25 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, 18 great great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Duval Wright, Reginald Wright, Clement Charbonnet, Charles James, Kerry Wright and Troy Wright.

Honorary pallbearers will be sons and grandsons.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 14, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A wake service will follow from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Angleton. There will be viewing at the church on Friday, June
15, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. only. There will be no viewing afterward.
