PV2 Jamal Rashad Bryant, at the age of 21, passed away on October 21, 2017 in Oklahoma.  He was from Lake Jackson but was in the Army and stationed in Lawton, OK. 

His services will be Friday, November 3, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Living Word Ministries International, 1421 West Street in Rosenberg with Apostle Robert L. Campbell, Sr., officiating.  Burial will be at the Houston National Cemetery.

While serving in the Army, he received the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (1), Army Achievement Medal (1), National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terror Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terror Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon (1) and the Army Service Ribbon.  Jamal was a kind hearted and caring person that believed in helping others.  He was a volunteer firefighter and a designated driver for those who were in need.  Jamal was a best friend to everyone he met and brought joy to the lives of many people.

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Alycia Booker and Claudia Dunlap.  He was also preceded in death by his grandfather, Ulas Dunlap.

He is survived by his parents, Jeffery and Tiffanye Dunlap of Lake Jackson; grandfather, Ivory Joe Booker of Houston; six brothers, Cedric Hudson (Tyndra) of Clute, Jashon Johnson, Victor Bryant Jr., Demarcus Bryant and Ke’Andre Bryant, all of Houston and Camarious Bell of Arkansas; three sisters, Victoria Bryant of Arkansas, Brianna Cambric and Jekevia Holmes of Houston; God brothers, Karmello Dunlap and Charles Toy Jr. of Lake Jackson; and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers will be the Military Funeral Honor Team.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kaleb Jones, Justice Smith, John David Dashe, Blayne Smith, London Seals, Larenzo Seals, Damon Jones, Aaron Jansky, Shawn Fuller, Cedric Hudson, Jashon Johnson, Victor Bryant, Jr., Ke’Andre Bryant, Camarious Bell and Charles Dexter Davidson.
