Funeral services for Woodrow Campbell, Jr., 70, of Lake Jackson will be Thursday, July 8, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Angleton with Pastor Donzell Archie, officiating. He will be buried at the Houston National Cemetery.
He passed away on Friday, June 25, 2021 at his residence.
Woodrow was a licensed professional plumber. He loved reading anything about history, playing BINGO, and working on puzzles. One of his greatest achievements was receiving a letter of praise from former president Barack Obama for honorable service to our country.
He leaves precious memories with his wife, Mitzi Birdsong of Lake Jackson; sons, Russell Farris of Brazoria, Christopher Campbell (Chanta) of Brazoria, and Galen Campbell (Meri Cay) of Fort Smith, AR; daughters, Cassandra “Traci” Thomas of Austin, Romeka Gaston of Angleton, and Donna Lee (Michael) of Cedar Hill; sisters, Gwendolyn Archie (Pastor Donzell) of Houston and Brenda Deadrick of Lansdale, PA; brothers, Ronald Campbell of Humble, Devaughn Price (Yalonda), Shedrick Campbell (Brenda), Kavin Campbell (Bettie), and Wayne Campbell (Victoria) all of Angleton; best friends, Oscar Jackson of McBeth, Kenric Dudley and James Lovelace (Jeanette) of Angleton; 13 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kavin Campbell, Shedrick Campbell, Wayne Campbell, Devaughn Price, Trent Ecby and Oscar Jackson.
Visitation will be the same day as the service from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Due to the COVID-19 Virus, everyone must wear a mask and practice social distancing.
