Funeral services for Willie Mae Bryant, 79, of Oyster Creek, TX, will be Saturday,
May 10, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at True Honor Baptist Church, 713 Robertson Street, Clute, TX, with Pastor Eric Gooden officiating. Burial will follow at Peaceful Rest Cemetery in Brazoria.
Willie Mae Bryant was born on June 10, 1945 in El Campo, Texas to the late Willie and Henrietta Mathews of Eagle Lake Texas. She was called home to rest on April 28, 2025. Willie Mae was educated in Eagle Lake elementary school system and went on to graduate at Hungerford High School. She accepted Christ at an early age in life and was a member of Greater First St Emmanuel Church of Freeport, Texas (Pastor Rodney Griggs). She was a devoted and loving mother; she raised eight children with unwavering dedication and care. Her love extended beyond her family, touching all who had the privilege of knowing her. She loved playing cards and having fun with her friends and family. Willie Mae lived each day with grace, joy and boundless compassion. Her spirit, generosity and legacy of love will live on in all of us. She will be deeply missed but her memory will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren and all those who were blessed to share in her love.
Willie Mae was preceded in death by her husband Willie "Tony" Carter Sr, her parents Willie and Henrietta Mathews, her sisters Jess, Ida Mae, Florence, Dorothy and her brothers Raymond and Willie Earl; two grandsons Bradric and Christopher; and one great granddaughter, Hai'lee.
Willie Mae leaves to mourn: loving spouse Arthur "Ray" Jammer; five sons, Clyde & Jan Holloway, Preston Holloway (Anitria), Brady & Jessica Holloway, Dick & Rhonda Holloway, and Octavia Holloway; three daughters, Pamela Holloway, Valerie McCray, and Erissie & Roy Tims; and her sister Laura Mathews; (38) grandchildren; (52) great grandchildren children and (1) great-great grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
Pallbearers: Russell Abbott, Ken Williams, Deion Hughes, Bryant Williams, Chris Hughes and Clay Nohavitza.
Visitation will be same day of service from 10:00am. to 11:00a.m.
