On July 3, 1949 a beautiful baby girl, Willie Mae, was born in Angleton, Texas to Wade and Mattie Thomas.
Willie grew up in Angleton, Texas where she attended Marshall High School. She attended and graduated from Wharton County Junior College. She worked as a dietitian at Brazosport Memorial Hospital and later went into the restaurant industry where she later retired. Willie was a member of Bethel Full Gospel Church in Freeport, Texas. Her special hobby was shopping. She loved eating seafood, especially crabs. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Willie was loved and valued and will most definitely be missed.
Willie was preceded in death by her parents, Wade and Mattie Thomas; three sisters, Rachel Thomas Oliver, Janet Thomas Samuels and Vernell Jammer; and brother, Roy Jean Thomas.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories, spouse, Lloyd Allen; Daughter -- Lynn Woods Young (Terrill); Adoptive Son/Special Nephew -- Curtis Nelson; Special Granddaughter – Chatara Shardae Woods; Two Grandsons – Efrem (Bubba) Woods and Christopher Nelson; Great Grandchildren – Lavontay Woods, Cazsidei Woods, Zariyah Miles, Camerin Woods Tate, Jacob Fuller, Mazanae McWilliams; Special-Special – Jamiah Patterson; Sisters -- Millye (Willie) Anderson, Velma (Myron) Strambler, Betty West, Cynthia (David) Bryant and Gladys (Jerry) Sheppard; Brothers – Arthur (Terri) Thomas, Lionel Thomas, Morris Thomas and Roger Thomas; Best Friends – Carolyn Perry, Mary Jane, Joyce Hicks and Brenda Williams and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
