Funeral service for William Allen Bivens, 75, of Brazoria will be Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Christian Church in Cedar Lake with Rev. K.W. Bree officiating. Burial will follow at Paradise Memorial Cemetery in Brazoria, Texas.

He passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2018 in Cedar Lane, Texas.

He loved rodeos, ranching, training horses, hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; James Bivens, Sr. and Delia Bivens; son, William Bivens, Jr.; 6 brothers and 4 sisters.

He leaves to cherish his memories; daughters, Alberta Bivens, Brazoria, LaShona Brown (Chris), Sweeny and Jennifer Bivens (Carl Williams), Clute; devoted friend, Shirley Ann Hall, Cedar Lane, 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 3 step-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Mack Lewis, Jr., Wilbert Jones, Ulysses Bivens, Jr., Maurice Bivens, Kevin Woodard, Arnold Young, Dorrell Woodard and Rodney Carter.

Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Brown, Carl Williams, Curtis Woodard, Jr., Terrance Brown, Jr., Tamajah Brown, Tavin Williams, Henry Green, Jr., Donald Ray Green, Edgar Bivens, Jr. and Spencer Bivens.

Visitation will be Friday, August 24, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria. There will be viewing on the day of the service at the church from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. There will be no viewing afterward.
