Wendell Keith Gay, 55, of West Columbia passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022 at Matagorda Regional Hospital in Bay City. He was born on August 4, 1966 in Freeport, Texas to Cecil and Virgie Gay.

He enjoyed hunting, barbecuing and spending time with his children.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ronald Lynn Gay, Sonny Gay and Mikey Gay; sisters, Judy Mead, Patsy Sturdivant and Deborah Gregory and nephew, Brady Sturdivant.

He leaves to cherish his memories; wife of 17 years, Shannon Gay; sons, Jon Gay and wife Crystal, Joshua Gay and wife Joanna, Aaron Harley and wife Jenny; daughters, Holly Crouch and husband Ryan, Cecilia Gay, Kandyce Harley and Whitney Harley and husband Jonathan; sister, Francis Stephens; good friends, Rick Rhodes, Patrick Kacer, Robert Walden and many many others; 14 grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
