Toya Denyl (Good) Goodwin

Toya Denyl Good was born on February 4, 1961 in Bexar County to Alfred and Irene Good.  She passed away peacefully on June 3, 2022 in Houston.  

FAITH: Our Sister loved God and throughout her adult life she could be found participating in "The work of Ministry".  For several years she served as an Armor Bearer at Bethel Baptist Full Gospel Church in Freeport, TX.  In sickness and in health, Toya's faith in God never faltered.  As it is written; "I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, (39) Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."  This was her foundation and she held on to this truth until she passed.

FAMILY: Toya loved her family and it was most evident at the family gatherings and special events.  No one could make an enchilada casserole like hers.  Other famous dishes created by Toya included potato salad with shrimp and her one of a kind chicken and dressing.  She had "gifted hands" so much that she started up her own business "Gifted Hands Mobil Massage Therapy.  Our sister was very stylish, simply put, she was captivating.  She had a presence that could and would demand attention.  She had great faith and she had love to share.  This she did as only she knew how.  And so it was, after 61 years of sharing her love with us, God called her to her eternal home on June 3, 2022.
