Tommy Ray Williams was born September 11, 1950 to Joseph and Allease Williams in Freeport, TX. He was baptized at an early age and spent his early childhood years growing up in Brazoria.
Immediately after High School he joined the AirForce in September 1969! During his time in the AirForce he received formal education at Basic Military Training School! He was also certified in Traffic Safety, Radio Frequency Management and Supervisors Safety! Tommy was awarded the Air Force Achievement Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, National Defense Service Medal, and Vietnam Service Medal. Tommy received numerous awards and was highly decorated while serving during the Vietnam War and Desert Storm for 24 years and moved up the ranks to Master Sargent. Once he completed his career in the military he started a career with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice where he retired after 10 years!
As a retired Veteran, Tommy spent his days enjoying football and fishing. He also was an entrepreneur and started his own Lawn Service business. He was loved by many and always willing to lend a helping hand!
Tommy is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Allease Williams, his brother, Lester Williams and sister, Shari Williams.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories, Aunt Delores “Lupe” Lewis, brother, Joseph Williams, Jr. and sister, Aleatha Williams.
Also to cherish his loving memory is Sharon Williams the mother of his 3 sons; who will carry on The Williams Legacy: Terrance Williams (Regina), Derek Williams, and Daniel Williams. He leaves behind 5 grandchildren: Tarynn, Rakyia, Elizabeth, Taniyah and Noah. Also to cherish his memories is Patricia Williams and extended family. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and a wealth of family and friends!
