Funeral services for Theresa Jackson, 76, of Brazoria will be Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 401 Yaupon, Lake Jackson, TX with Rev. Gerald Holland officiating and Rev. Joseph Mayes eulogizing. Burial will follow at Mims Cemetery in Brazoria, TX.
She passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Harbor Hospice in Houston, TX.
Theresa was a Calligrapher, owning her own business. She was member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, the Mims Community, Juneteenth Celebration Committee, MLKCC, BM&E State Convention (Baptist Missionary and Educational State Congress Instructor), Bible Study Fellowship, Christian Women’s Connection, Sweeny District Willing Workers, Lincoln Southern District Association (Historian/Area II Secretary) and National Baptist Convention USA, Inc.
She loved Bible studies, playing dominoes, bowling, gardening, writing, sewing, reading, dressing, modeling, hats, decorating and being a community activist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Brooks Jackson; parents, Wesley and Doris Woods; and sister, Melva Joseph.
Theresa is survived by her sons; Derrick Jackson, Sr. (Katina) of Angleton, Clarence “C” Jackson (Jackie) of Brazoria and Jeffrey Jackson (Regina) of Pearland; daughters, Cheryl Williams of Angleton, Trina Mouton (John) of Fresno; sisters, Ruby Robinson (Branch) and Pourchia Cockrell (Milton) both of Lake Jackson, and Suethel Harris (Marvin) of Houston; best friend, Katherine Brown (Charles) of Missouri City; 19 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Active pallbearers will be Ryan Jackson, Ramone Jackson, Jason Jackson, Clayton Fields, Cory Joseph, Artis Edwards, Gary Woodard, Chris Bonner and Craig Brooks.
A wake will be held at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 29309 CR 610A, Angleton, TX on Friday, December 17, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
