Terry Mark Thornton

Terry Mark Thornton, known as PePaw to his grandchildren, of Brazoria, TX passed away at Creekside Village Healthcare in Richwood, TX on Wednesday, October 29, 2025.  He was born on February 15, 1956 in Fort Worth, TX to Leonard Ray and Reba Jo Thornton.

Mark enjoyed fishing, spending time with his wife, playing with his grandchildren, dressing up like a pirate and attending the Renaissance Festival.

Mark was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Shelby Kay Breaux; father, Leonard Thornton; grandparents; mother-in-law, Dolly Phillips; father-in-law, Thomas Phillips; brothers-in-law, Jerry and Tony Phillips; niece, Mandy Phillips and numerous favorite cousins.

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 wonderful years, Pamela Phillips Thornton; mother, Reba Jo Thornton; children, Stephanie Breaux, Bobby “Bubba” Breaux, Jr. (Mandi); grandchildren, William Hood II (Emma), Korbyn Breaux, Bailey Hood, Cassiedy Hood, Kinsley Breaux; great-grandchildren, Paislee Hood, Maisee Hood and new baby to be Miss Luna Breaux; brothers, Travis Thornton, David Thornton (Gail), Danny Thornton (Debbie); sisters, Elizabeth Dreher, Janis Harding (Randy); brothers-in-law, Gordon Phillips (Katherine), Greg Phillips (Yvette); sisters-in-law, Janis Phillips, Sandy Palmer and a host of nieces and nephews.

Active pallbearers will be William Hood, Bailey Hood, Lee Tettleton, Kim Tryon, Lester Dreher and Anthony Phillips.

Honorary pallbearers will be Cassiedy Hood, Kinsley Breaux, Critter Chambers, Ronnie Mathews, Korbyn Breaux and Corey Phillips.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 3, 2025 at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria, TX with Pastor Vernon Burrow officiating.  Burial will follow at Brazoria Cemetery in Brazoria, TX.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Dixon Funeral Home from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
