Terry Elizabeth (Brinkley) Bergen

Funeral services for Terry Bergen, 57, of Sweeny, TX will be Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Dixon Funeral Home, Angleton. TX. Burial will follow at Brazoria Cemetery. Terry passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2025 in Houston, TX.

Terry loved all the residents at Creekside and Cypress Woods Nursing Home. She cared deeply for her nursing aides and treated them like family. She lost her battle after 23 years, but she put up a hell of a fight. Terry enjoyed being a Nana and had a love for her career in nursing. Her favorite hobbies were crafting and reading.

She was preceded in death by step-dad, Dennis Powell; step-brother, William McMillan; mother-in-law, Sylvia Bergen; father-in-law, Claude Bergen and nephews, Matthew Smith and Travis Sargent. 

She leaves precious memories with her mother, Patricia Powell; spouse, Raymond Bergen, Sr, Sweeny, TX; son, Raymond Bergen, Jr. (Michele), Angleton, TX; son, Trenton Bergen, Sweeny, TX; daughter, Jessica Arriaga (Felix Jr), Woodstock, GA; daughter, Samantha Camero, Sweeny, TX; brother William Brinkley (Cappy), Gainesville, FL; brother Jefferson Powell (Nicole), Denham Springs, LA; best friends, Terrena Smith (Tim) and Elizabeth Sargent; 13 grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Jaiden Giles, Billy Giles, Jeremiah Giles, Bobbie Clark, Ervin Penney and Lillie Bergen.

Honorary pallbearers will be Whitney Clark, Markus Arriaga, Gary Bergen, Marshall Barnes and Wayne Mills.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 17, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Dixon Funeral Home-Angleton.
