Teresa Lynne Seifert

Teresa Lynne Seifert, age 72, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2026, at her home in Brazoria, Texas.

She was born in Dallas, Texas, to Jack and Doris York. Teresa proudly served her country in the United States Navy, enlisting in 1974 and receiving an honorable discharge in 1976 as a Petty Officer 3rd Class. She later built a dedicated career as an office manager, retiring in 2019.

Teresa found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved shopping, reading, watching Fox News, and cheering on her favorite teams, the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers. She had a special love for lighthouses and cherished time spent at the beach.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two of her three brothers, Jackie and Robert York.

Teresa is survived by her loving husband of nearly 50 years, Louis Seifert; her brother, Forrest York (wife, Denise); and her children, Lance Seifert, Katrina O’Bryan (husband, Stacy), and Shaun Seifert. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren: Hunter O’Bryan (wife, Mikah), Josh Seifert, Kaitlyn O’Bryan, Mackenzie Seifert, Caleb Seifert, Tristyn O’Bryan, and Ethan Seifert; and one great-grandchild, Macie O’Bryan.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Freeport in Freeport, Texas, followed by a reception at the residence of Louis and Teresa Seifert.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Foundation and/or the Tunnels To Towers Foundation.

The family respectfully asks that no flowers be sent.
