Funeral services for Tennie Marie Linear, 71, of Angleton, TX, will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Brazoria in Brazoria, TX, with Superintendent Lester Coulter, officiating and Bishop Fred Allen Jones, eulogizing. Burial will follow at Peaceful Rest Cemetery in Brazoria, TX.  

Tennie Marie Linear passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 in Angleton, TX.

Tennie was a member of Greater Joy Cogic in Bay City, TX, graduated from WCJC with an Associate's Degree, enjoyed crossword puzzles and game shows.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hezekiah Brooks and Pinkie Mae Brooks; sisters, Mary Jane Payne and Amanda Jackson

She is survived by her husband, James Thomas Linear, Sr. (J.T.);  sons, James Thomas Linear, Jr. and William Andrew Linear; daughters, Tracie Lynn Linear and Alicia Nickcole Linear; sisters, Estela Lewis, Lois Cofield, Janice Hopes and Mclotta Fields; brothers, Hezekiah Brooks and Izra Brooks; best friends, Jeanene Farrior and Sabrina Charles; 8 grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Kirk Jenkins, Robert Comfort, Gab Cockarall, Clarance Johnician, Cliford Randon and Eric Blackmon.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 29, 2026 at Dixon Funeral Home in Angleton, TX, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
