Susan Ann (Johnson) Wooderson

Funeral services for Susan Wooderson, 69, of Sweeny, TX will be Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria. Burial to follow at Cedar Lawn Haven of Rest in West Columbia, TX.

Susan departed this life Wednesday, December 31, 2025 in Sweeny, TX to rejoin her beloved husband, Billy.  She was a life-long animal lover, and cherished the memory of all the dogs she had over her lifetime.  Susan was also very passionate about organ donation, as she and Billy were both grateful recipients.

Susan loved sewing, traveling, bingo, visiting with friends and caring for her dogs.

She was preceded in death by husband, William Shean Wooderson; parents, Chet and Katherine Johnson; mother-in-law, Grace Wooderson; father-in-law, Samuel Wooderson and brother-in-law, Dython Wooderson.

She leaves precious memories with her daughter, Amanda Bower (Jack) of Sweeny, TX; sister, Laura Payne (John) of Dripping Springs, TX; sister-in-law, Delayne Ducroz (Tim) of West Columbia, TX; brother, Michael Johnson; brother-in-law, Sam Wooderson (Jan); Valerie Johnson Dearing, best friends, Sue Whitt and Ellen Frieze, both of West Columbia; grandchildren, Payton Bower (Emma), Ella Bower and Bailey Bower; great grandchild, Joel Jacob Bower along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Active pallbearers will be Jack Bower, Mike Johnson, Bailey Bower and Tim Ducroz.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. -1:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria.
