Susan Tyrrell May 13, 1963 – October 23, 2025 Born in Freeport, Texas.
Susan Tyrrell was a rock-and-roll kind of woman — strong, bold, and unapologetically herself. She left this world on October 23, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She survived heart disease from her twenties on, but she never let it define her. She kept living, laughing, and finding joy wherever she could, because that’s who she was. “Badass” isn’t just a word we’re using. She earned it in the way she loved, the way she fought, and the way she kept going. Susan lived with music in her soul and love in her bones. She loved loudly, laughed often, and never turned down a good song or a cold beer. One of her favorite sayings was, “You don’t just hear the music, you listen to the words.” If she was in the room, you felt safe, you felt loved, and you felt home. She especially loved going to the beach with her family. Toes in the sand, music playing, and the people she loved most right beside her.
She is deeply loved and forever remembered by her husband William James Tyrrell, her children Kristina Tyrrell and Billy Tyrrell, and her grandchildren: Brianna Jones, Summer Jones, Lawrence Jones, Patricia Boyd, Savannah Boyd, Jacob Zimmerle, Isabelle Tyrrell, Kyra Tyrrell, and Noah Tyrrell. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, who were her pride and joy: AvaLynn Danford and Liam Chavez.
Waiting with open arms in Heaven are her daughter Melissa Tyrrell, her parents, Raymond and Elizabeth Lookiebill and her siblings. We find peace knowing she is surrounded by love once again with the ones she’s missed for so long.
Nana, you gave us strength, love, music, and memories that will carry us for the rest of our lives. We’ve got it from here. We’ll take care of each other, just like you taught us and we’ll rock on for you forever.
