Funeral services for Sophie Wright Davis, 61, of Clute will be Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Brazoria with Rev. Larry Jackson officiating and Pastor LC Dews eulogizing. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery in Brazoria, Texas.

She passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at Jennie Sealy Hospital in Galveston, Texas.

She loved going to church, sewing, shopping and going to Whataburger. Her greatest joy was spending time with close family and friends.

Left to cherish her memories; husband, Hurbert Davis, Sr., Clute; son, Hurbert Davis, Jr. (Ki’Nora), Pearland; daughters, Na’Tasha Davis, Houston, Shekeitra Richardson (Johnnie), Wharton, Tarah Hobbs (Paris), Clute and Sharita Davis, Houston; sisters, Carrie Robertson (Phil), Angleton and Louise Carper Crear, LaMarque; brothers, Charlie Wright, Angleton, Leonard Wright (Angela), Missouri City and Richard Wright (Sheila), Brazoria;  sister-in-law, Verma Edison Wright; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Terry Darthard, Brandon Grear, Garland Johnson, Earl Heard, Jason Wright and Randy Ross.

Visitation will be Friday, November 25, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria,
