Sharon Jean (Smith) Bivens

Funeral services for Sharon Jean Bivens, 66, of Bay City, TX will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Bethlehem Christian Church with Pastor Larry Griggs officiating and Pastor K. W. Bree eulogizing.  Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery.

She passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Memorial Hermann in Houston, TX.

Sharon was actively involved in Bethlehem Women Christian Auxiliary and Diamond Cut Ryders.  She enjoyed trail riding, cooking and shopping.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pinkney and Annie Smith; son, Lakienta Smith; brothers, Sammy and Bobby Smith; uncle, Cassanova Brown and the mother who reared her, Sophie Franklin.

Sharon leaves precious memories with her husband, Terry Bivens; sons, Reginald Smith (Crystal), Donnel Jammer (Alexis), Jeremiah Jammer (Jawanna), Johnathan Bivens (Lynette); daughter, Shakara Jackson (Kahianti); sisters, Jacqueline Simmons Bryant, LaHoma Parks, Jana Jones (Bishop Ricky), Vanessa Brown; aunts, Patricia Randon, Julia Brown; special friends, Iris Urps, Marie Woodard, Georgia Petteway, Costella Bonner, Bonnie Garcia, Willie Carter, Jr., Wilbert Hall; special friend/classmate, Lawrence Bree, Jr.; a host of grand and great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.      

Active pallbearers will be Kelvin Bryant, Clifford Randon, Kevin Brown, March Brown, Albert Smith, Sr. and Quinton Bell.

Visitation will be Friday, October 3, 2025 at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.
