Funeral services for Ruby Lee Davis, 79, of Brazoria will be Friday, January 28, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Brazoria with Pastor K.B. McDonald officiating. Burial will follow at Peaceful Rest Cemetery in Brazoria.
She passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022 in Angleton, TX.
She worked as a custodian for many years for CBISD, from which she retired. She was later employed by Brazoria County Head Start where she cared for infants. She was a member of Greater St. Paul Baptist Church in Latonia, TX. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, going to garage sales and watching Westerns. Her favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Rockets.
She was preceded in death by her parents Walterine and George Davis, Sr.; brothers, Don Ray Davis and Elmo Davis; great grandchild, Cayla Simple and special friend, Herman Miller, Jr.
She is survived by her sons, Charles Davis (Belecia), Corwon Davis, Sr. (Camellia), Armond Davis (Bethany) all of Brazoria, Roderick Davis (Marie), Bay City; daughters, Kendra Davis and Leshonda Grice (Nathan), both of Brazoria; sisters, Lillie Jean, Houston, Clara Stroman (Michael Price), Angleton; brothers, William Davis, Sr. (Gertie), George Davis, Jr. (Hattie), both of Brazoria, Cecil Davis (Faye), Missouri City; 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Active pallbearers will be De’Andre Simple, Michael Davis, Marquelle Davis, Ky’Juan Davis, Naqualyn Grice, Brad Jean, and Albert Randon, Jr.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 27, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home of Brazoria.
Due to COVID, everyone must wear a mask and practice social distancing.
