Funeral services for Roland James Woodard, 67, of Brazoria will be Saturday, January 3, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Greater Mount Zion Church, Brazoria, TX with Apostle Hollis Hall Officiating and Elder Roland K Hendricks Eulogizing. Burial will be at Bethlehem Christian Cemetery, Cedar Lake, TX.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, family, friends and fishing.
He is preceded in death by his father, James D. Woodard; mother, Ida Bivens; step-father, Armither Bivens; grandmothers, Mary McCardell and Lillie B Young; brother, Charlie Woodard; sister, Marilyn Kuykendall; brother-in laws, Johnny L. Johnson, Roberto Vazquez, Orlando Rodriguez; sister-n-laws, Elisha L. Veda and Francioa F. Veda.
Roland is survived by his loving wife, Bonita Yvonne Vazquez Woodard, Brazoria, TX; sons, Charlie Sallins IV and Ortell Sallins; daughters, Tonisha Brinkley, Carmen Lloyd and Andrea Lloyd; sisters, Loretta Laymen, Jearldean Woodard, Lillie Dian Powell, Mary E. Woodard, Addie Woodard-Ford (Clark), Julia Harris (Troy), Delicia Parson (Nevin), brothers, Jerome Brown (Wilma), James Woodard, Jr. (Bregetta), John Wayne Woodard, Kelvin Woodard, Dorrell Woodard (Karen); brother-in-laws, Ediberto Vazquez (Estelle), Hector Vazquez (Anna), Rafael Santos (Terri), Manuel Santos (Hazel); sister-in-law, Margarita Vazquez; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
