Funeral services for Richard Wright, Sr. will be Friday, March 31, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Greater Mount Zion Church in Brazoria with Pastor Darrell James officiating and Rev. Larry Jackson eulogizing. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery in Brazoria, Texas.

Richard’s memory will be forever cherished by his loving wife, Sheila Wright of Brazoria, TX; sons, Richard Ray Wright, Jr. of Brazoria, TX, Thomas Wright of Bay City, TX, and Quinn Wright (Heather) of Rosharon, TX; daughter, Shameka Matthews (David) of Bay City, TX; brothers, Charlie Wright of Angleton, TX, Leonard Wright (Angela) of Missouri City, TX, and Stevie Franklin (Gwen) of Sweeny, TX; sisters, Carrie Robertson (Phil) of Angleton, TX and Gussie Carper Crear of La Marque, TX; brother-in-law, Wayne Williams (Leonor) of Angleton, TX; sisters-in-law, Jimmietta Williams of Angleton, TX and Verma Edison Wright of Alvin, TX; grandchildren, Jadyn Bowen, Shamar Wright, Sereniti Wright, Thomas Wright, Jr., Sion Matthews, Axel Wright, Kamari Wright, and Theo Wright; best friends, Reverend Don Marshall, Reverend Mark Austin, Reverend Harold Higgins, and Don Stanford; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Johnnie Richardson, Koren Richardson, Shep Clark, Shaun Massey, Derrick Johnson and Tex Bell.

Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Wright, Jr., Thomas Wright, Quinn Wright, David Matthews, Charlie Wright, Leonard Wright, Phil Robertson, Chris Wright and Steve Franklin.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 30, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria.
