Ramiro Martinez Sr., 77, of Sweeny passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at UTMB Health Angleton Danbury Campus in Angleton, TX surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 23, 1943 in San Carlos, Vallecillo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Pedro and Ana Martinez.
He enjoyed fishing, listening to music and dancing.
He is survived by his wife, Fidelia Martinez, Sweeny; son, Ramiro Martinez, Jr. (Juana), Sweeny; daughters, Maria Guadalupe Garcia (Carlos), Myrna Maricela Martinez (Cesar Ramirez), both of Sweeny; sisters, Amelia Martinez and Diana Martinez, both of Mexico; brothers, Pedro Martinez, Raul Martinez and Gilberto Martinez, all of Mexico; good friends, Salvador Ramirez (Laura), Vincente Borrego (Rosario) and Guadalupe Deleon; 8 grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Active pallbearers will be family and friends.
Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Sweeny TX with Father Preston Quintela officiating.
Visitation will be Monday, March 15, 2021 at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a rosary starting at 7:00 p.m.
