Funeral services for Previn Hobbs, 53, of Freeport will be Monday, March 21, 2022 at 11:00 AM at New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Freeport with Pastor Marcus Lincoln officiating. Burial will follow at Peaceful Rest Cemetery in Brazoria, Texas.
He loved his children deeply and was an extremely proud devoted father and grandfather. He was a dedicated business owner with a passion for lawn service. He loved boxing, family time and sharing encouraging words of advice to others. He went out of his way to inspire, uplift and reach out to anyone that crossed his path. He graduated from Brazosport High School in 1986.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Pete Phillips and Sharon Hobbs Phillips; brother, Steven Banks and grandparents.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his sons; Jeremy Hobbs (Heather) ,Alvin, Cameron Hobbs (Adilene), Lake Jackson, Aaron Hobbs (Viridiana), Midland, Joshua Hobbs (Verronika), Lake Jackson; daughters; Ashley Duby (Kenneth), Midland and Aliyah Hobbs (Tanya Lala mother of Aliyah) Lake Jackson; sisters, Kimberly Free (Harold), San Antonio and Shareen Phillips, Freeport; grandchildren; Madison Hobbs, Aden Hobbs, Zaylee Lunford, Jeremiah Hobbs, Nykahlani Trevino, Kazarai Hobbs, Arianna Hobbs and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Active pallbearers will be Tim Jones, Rashad Thompson, Arnal Lovick, Brooks Bass, Pat Taylor, Byron Hobbs, Damon Smith and Leslie Darthard.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy Hobbs, Cameron Hobbs, Aaron Hobbs, Joshua Hobbs and Kenneth Duby.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 20, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. to 5: 00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria.
Due to the COVID-19 Virus, everyone must wear a mask and practice social distancing.
