Funeral services for Pinkney Robinson Jr., 66, of Brazoria will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 1, 2021, at Greater St. Paul Baptist Church in Brazoria with Rev. K. B. McDonald officiating. Burial will follow at Peaceful Rest Cemetery in Brazoria.
He passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021 at CHI St. Luke Health Brazosport in Lake Jackson, Texas.
Pinkney worked at Union Pacific Railroad and was a member of Greater St. Paul Baptist Church. He enjoyed bull riding, barbecuing, fishing, trail rides, watching the Dallas Cowboys and Westerns on T.V.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Everline Thomas; father, Pinkney Robinson Sr., grandfather, Jimmy Thomas; sister, Dorlores Robinson; brothers, Roland Robinson, James Robinson; and granddaughter, Ashanti Stroman.
Pinkney leaves memories with his son, La’Mont Stroman of Brazoria; daughters, Shemeka Oliver of Vicksburg, Mississippi, Samantha Xmann of Kenedy, TX, Sabrina Robinson (Jason) of Brazoria; sisters, Glenda Gee (Calvin) of West Columbia, Adeline Robinson, Diane Thomas, both of Angleton; friends, Martin King and Elijah Simmons of Brazoria, Roshon Bess of Fresno; eleven grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Active pallbearers will be Roshon Bess, Anthony Thomas, Derrick Scott, Vincen Shorter, Gibson Granville, Jason Morgan, Thurston Robinson, and Cedric Kinard.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
