Penelope “Penny” Kay Rhodes, 70 of Stafford, Texas left this life and went to be with the Lord on June 3rd, 2021 after a brief battle with cancer. She was born in Freeport, Texas to Jack David Rhodes and Patti Reba Kay. After graduating from Columbia High School in 1969, she moved to Houston, TX and started her career with Harris County. Penny worked for many years as the Court Coordinator for Harris County Judge Mark Atkinson, retiring in 2002. She spent her retirement raising her dogs, crafting, gardening and spending quality time with her family and friends. She was a loving sister, aunt and friend and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Sondra Perez and husband Cipry of Crosby, Debbie Hardy and husband Gordon of Rosharon;, brother David Rhodes and wife Vickie of West Columbia; partner, Roy Malone of Stafford; favorite pups, Elvis and Skippy; numerous cousins and treasured nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to your local SPCA in Penny’s name.

A viewing will be held at Dixon Funeral home in Brazoria, TX from 9:00 am to 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 8th.  A graveside service will follow at 10:30 am at Brazoria Cemetery with Colby Wallace officiating. 

Active Pallbearers will be Cory Rhodes, Bill Moffett, Tim Moffett, Greg Moffett, Mark Wakefield and Scott Langdon.
