Pearl Mae (Taylor) Jones

Funeral Services for Pearl Mae Taylor Jones, 60, of Freeport, TX will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Southside Church of Christ, 802 West 5th Street in Freeport, TX with Brother Lawrence Richo officiating.  Burial will follow at Gulf Coast Cemetery in Clute, TX.

She passed away on March 19, 2022 at CHI St. Luke’s – Brazosport in Lake Jackson.

Pearl was a member of Southside Church of Christ in Freeport, TX.  She worked for American Rice (Rivanna) for 31 years and loved taking care of her grandchildren.  She enjoyed playing Candy Crush and other online games, crocheting and spending time with family.

Pearl leaves precious memories with her mother, Pearl Lee Taylor of Houston; sons, Jarrell Taylor, Freeport and Joe Earl Jones, Jr., Houston; daughters, Jessica Wells (Jacob) Denton, TX, Nickyshia Bellany Freeport Tx, Stephanie Jones, of Clute, Jerushah Brown, San Antonio TX , Sharonda and Shalonda Jones, Houston; sisters, Ethel Dunlap (Ronnie) Freeport, Elizabeth Taylor, Houston, Loretta Davis, Beaumont; brothers, Robert Taylor, Jr. (Cynthia), Anthony Taylor (Michelle), both of Houston, Terrance Taylor (Carol) Beaumont; good friends, Billie Gilbert and Ethel Brown; 17 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Frank Fuller, Jr., Jeffrey Glenn Fuller, Timothy Richo, Leon Richo, Leonard Richo and Tony Sanchez.

Visitation will be Friday, March 25, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home, 2025 East Mulberry, Angleton, TX.  

Due to the COVID-19 Virus, everyone must wear a mask and practice social distancing.
