Funeral services for Odella Caldwell, 71 of Houston formerly of Brazoria will be Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Greater Mount Zion Church in Brazoria with Elder Roland K. Hendricks officiant and eulogist. Burial will follow at Mims Cemetery in Brazoria, Texas.
She was a member of Greater Mount Zion Church where she was a former trustee, finance secretary and matron. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, listening to music especially during Christmas and praying. . Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories; loving and devoted daughter, Darinda Caldwell-Jackson (O’Neal Jackson, Jr.), Houston, sisters, Carolyn Simple (Kenneth), Angleton and Ella Johnson (Samuel Johnson, Jr.) Cypress; god-sister, Stephanine O’Neal, Brazoria; god-son, Samuel Lee Johnson, III; granddaughters, DeZarre’ Caldwell, Ja’Neal Jackson and Sydney Jackson; grandson, O’Neal Jackson, III; good friends, Vesta Thomas (Jessie), Ruby Jackson, Linda Allen and Cheryl “Garnett” Davis; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Active pallbearers will be Ralph Caldwell, Willie Myles, Clyde Hendricks, Reggie Williams, Matthew Evans, Robert Caldwell, Kenneth Charles Simple and Glen Roy Laine.
Visitation will be Friday, April 8, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria.
