Netty Lou Thomas

Funeral services for Netty Lou Thomas, 68, of Houston, Texas, formerly of Brazoria, will be Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Garden of Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church, 4715 Griggs Rd., Houston, TX, with Dr. Robert E. Daniels, Sr. officiating.  Burial will follow at Peaceful Rest Cemetery in Brazoria, TX.

Netty passed away on September 25, 2022 in Houston.

She was a member of Garden of Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church, Houston, TX. She enjoyed traveling and shopping.

She was also a member of Eastern Star, Pride of Maple Leaf No. 43, Houston, TX, Norris Wright Cuney Grand Chapter PHA, Doric Court No. 83 Oasis of Houston, Desert of Texas Daughter of the Imperial Court and member of the Celestial Choir Christian Education Scholarship Ministry.

Netty is preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Dread Thomas and Lucretia Ishman Thomas and brother, Dread T. Thomas. Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memories her special cousins, Easther Montgomery Jones of Los Angeles, California and Marshall T. Montgomery; nephew, Dread Thomas, III; great nephews, Dread Thomas IV and Nicolas Thomas; best friend, Rosie Alexander and best friend and cousin, Agnes Campbell and a host of relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Donald Campbell, Darnell Shields, Reginald Shields, Terrie Brown, Darnell Mack and Marshall Montgomery.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Masons.

Visitation will be Friday, September 30, 2022 at Dixon Funeral Home, 2025 East Mulberry, Angleton, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.  A visitation will also be at the church on Saturday, October 1, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
