Nathaniel Henry Johnson "Ambrew"

Funeral services for Nathaniel Johnson, 93, of Brazoria will be Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Temple A.M.E. Church in Brazoria with Rev. Ralph Martin eulogizing and Pastor Ida Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Mims Cemetery in Brazoria, Texas.

He passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Sweeny House in Sweeny, Texas.

He was a member of Zion Temple A.M.E. Church. He was a member of Local Union #154.  He was a Former Mason. He enjoyed farming, hunting and trail riding.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories; special nieces, Ruby Jean Johnson and Mary Johnson both of Brazoria and Zerielda Johnson, Lake Jackson; special nephews, Darrell Johnson, Pastor Clifford Randon and Pastor Michael Johnson of Brazoria and Robert Bryant, Clute; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Johnson and Mary Jane Johnson, both of Brazoria; good friends, L.H. Jones, Sr., Jerry Johnson; and a host other nieces, nephews, cousins, and other friends.

Active pallbearers will be Dana Wheeler, Rayfield Jones, Clint Johnson, Floyd Ray Johnson, Melvin A. Johnson, Jr. and Marvelous Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Johnson, Robert L. Bryant “Pee Wee”, Mardern Randon, Darrell Johnson, L.H. Jones, Ira Johnson and Napoleon Johnson.

Visitation will be Friday, March 9, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria. There will be viewing at the church on the day of service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. There will be no viewing afterward.
