Michael Edgar Carter, 68, of Sweeny, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2025 at his residence in Sweeny.  He was born October 30, 1956 in Plaquemine, Louisiana to Elizabeth and Charles Carter II.

Mike loved hunting, fishing, baseball, softball and playing dominoes.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lisa French, Susan Richardson and Carol Hood and brother, David Carter

Mike is survived by his son, Chris Woolsey of Omaha, Arkansas; daughter, Cathy Hall of Sweeny; sisters, Lynnette Marshall of Tenaha, TX, Joyce Modisette of McKinney, TX; brothers, Charles Percy Carter, III and spouse Sissie of Sargent, TX, Willard Carter and spouse Amy of Huntsville, TX and Tim Carter of Houston, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Doug Carter, Dennis Carter, Craig Chandler, Michael Marshall, James “Bubba” Richardson and Lindsey Hebert.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria with Pastor Rusty Griffen, officiating     .  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time.

Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. at Tetter Cemetery in Humble, TX.
