Funeral services for Mary Louise Thymes, 74, of Cedar Lane will be Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Cedar Lane with Pastor Michael A. Reddick II eulogizing and Rev. Kenneth Bree officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery in Cedar Lane, TX.
She passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at CHI St. Luke Health Brazosport in Lake Jackson, Texas
Mary was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Cedar Lane, Texas where she served faithfully in several positions. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, traveling, and spending time with her family. She was a lady with big heart and a loving spirit.
Mary is survived by her three loving sons: Marvin Thymes (Cynthia) of Navasota, Rodges Thymes Jr. (Tracy) of Richwood, and Derrick Thymes (Patricia) of Pflugerville; five grandchildren: Lateisha Higgins, Kiwana Thymes, Brittany Thymes, DerMar Thymes, Amar’e Thymes; six great grandchildren; two sisters: Joyce Stevens (Gregory) of Austin and Genevia Francisco (Leon) of Olympia Fields, Illinois, Deborah Griggs of Apple Valley, California; five aunts, Mary Jane Griggs of Galveston, Texas, Louise Johnson of LaMarque, Texas, Melanie Christine Williams of Hayward, California, Johnnie Thomas of Cedar Lane, Texas, Bonnie Austin of Pflugerville, Texas, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Active pallbearers will be Jason Stevens, Herman N. Austin, Elmo Roberson, Byron Austin, Reginald Austin, Milton Sidney
Visitation will be Friday, January 21, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria. Visitation will also be at the church on Saturday, January 22, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
Funeral service will be limited to 75 attendees.

Due to COVID, everyone must wear a mask and practice social distancing.
