Mary Beth Simon, 74, of Wharton passed away on November 6, 2024 at her residence.  She was born January 4, 1950 in Freeport, TX to Harriett and Lewis Barnes, Sr.

She preceded in death by her parents; son, Jeffory Simon; brothers, Samuel M. Barnes, Johnny Lynn Barnes and John Lewis Barnes; sister, Harriett Barnes Hood and grandchild, Cade Simon.

Mary leaves to cherish her memories her son, Troy Simon (Becky) of Centerville, IA; sisters, Willie Mae Brown of Richwood, TX and Annie Barnes Robertson of Rosharon, TX; brothers, Lewis Barnes, Jr. (Carol) of Pearland, TX, and Donald Ray Barnes of Angleton, TX; 2 grandchildren, Trent and Luke Simon; and a host of relatives and friends.
