Mary O'Dell Williams

Memorial Services for Mary O’Dell Williams, 74, of Lake Jackson, TX, will be at  2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Fifth Street Church of Christ, 501 Elm Street, Sweeny, TX, with Brother David Wright officiating.    

Mary passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at CHI St. Luke’s Health Hospital in Lake Jackson, TX.

She was a faithful member of the Jefferson Street Church of Christ in West Columbia where she served in many church leadership roles.  She was also a part-time staff member with the Boys and Girls Club in Sweeny, TX.  She was an active member of the Delta Xi Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority of Brazoria County.

She enjoyed volunteering in her community, working crossword puzzles, going to garage sales and attending sporting events at Sweeny High School.

Mary was preceded in death by her father, Tom A. Williams, Sr.; mother, Sallie Mae Johnson Williams; brother, Gary Williams and sister, Esther Williams Miller.

She leaves behind precious memories with her brothers, Tom A. Williams, Jr. and Raymond Williams, both of Wichita, KS and Waymon Williams of Salt Lake City, UT; aunt, Eveline Jackson of Midland, TX; best friend, Vanessa Mathis of Sweeny along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
