Mary Olevia (McNeil) Lucas

Funeral services for Mary Olevia McNeil Lucas, 88, of Sugar Land, will be Friday, July 22, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Dixon Funeral Home, 2025 E. Mulberry St., Angleton with Deacon Alphonse Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow at Paradise Cemetery in West Columbia.

Mary passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 in Sugar Land.

She was a retired business owner and enjoyed refurbishing furniture.  She also loved gardening, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Isaiah and LouEthel McNeil; husband, John Lucas, Sr. and son, John Lucas, Jr.

She leaves behind her loving daughters, Karen Blair of Sugar Land, Texas, Ethel Lucas of Katy, Texas and Audrey Jordan (John) of Stafford, Virginia; sons, Ronald Lucas (Marci) of Katy, Texas and Michael Lucas (Michelle) of Manassas, Virginia; sister, Florence Jones, Houston, Texas; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be friends and family.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 22, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. – 10:55 a.m. at Dixon Funeral Home.

Due to the COVID-19 Virus, everyone must wear a mask and practice social distancing.
