Mary Clark Obituary

Mary Evelyn Clark, 70, of Brazoria, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2025. She was born on August 11, 1954, in Wharton, Texas, to Samuel Donese Wilson and Eva Audra Moore.

Mary graduated from Sweeny High School in 1972 and went on to have a fulfilling and diverse career. She began as a dispatcher with the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office and later held positions at First Capital Bank, Gulf Chemical, Carroll Motor Company, and KBR. Her dedication and enthusiasm for her work left an enduring impression on her colleagues and those she served.

Mary was a devoted mother to her son, Jason Robert Clark, whom she raised with love, care, and determination. From karate lessons to baseball practices, Mary made sure Jason was always prepared, instilling in him the values of hard work, punctuality, and respect.

Mary had a lifelong passion for classic Ford vehicles and was an accomplished Powderpuff Mud racer, showcasing her mechanical skills by helping create a custom engine for her mud truck. She also shared a love for farming and was hands-on when assisting Jason with tractors and cattle.

Beyond her talents on the racetrack and farm, Mary was a certified scuba diver and achieved her Divemaster certification through PADI, a testament to her adventurous and fearless spirit.

Mary is survived by her son, Jason Robert Clark of Brazoria, Texas. She was preceded in death by her father, Samuel Donese Wilson; her mother, Eva Audra Moore; and her brother, Gary Wayne Wilson.

Mary’s adventurous spirit, dedication to her family, and unwavering kindness will forever be remembered by all who knew and loved her.

A graveside service will be on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Brazoria Cemetery in Brazoria, TX. . Services will be conducted by Anthony Gregory, a longtime family friend.

Honorary Pallbearers: Jeffery Sloan, Josh Downs, Dustin Fletcher, Colton Cryer, Cody Mears, and Eugene Wilson.

The family would like to extend special recognition to Chad Cryer, Bria Cryer, Cassidy Cryer, and Colton Cryer for their tireless help in assisting her over the years.
