Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth Thompson, 62, of Richmond, TX, will be 11:00am on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Greater Mount Zion with Apostle Kelvin Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Mims Cemetery in Brazoria, TX.
Mary passed away at Methodist Sugarland.
Mary was a member of Church of God of Prophecy, in Brazoria. She joined Lilly Grove MBC in 2007.
Mary was a sales associates for Burlington Coat Factory where she earned the Spotlight Award and was Employee of the Month. She loved spending time with her family, listening to music and watching TV.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Thompson Sr. and Lucy Belle Thompson; brothers, Jerry Thompson, James Thompson, Clarence Thompson, Sr., and Charlie Thompson, Jr.; sisters, Mable Williams, JoAnna Randon, Carolyn Thompson and nephew Emmet Thompson.
She leaves precious memories with her spouse, Gary Brown, Richmond, TX; step-daughter, Samantha Winn, Houston, TX; sisters, Lillian Davis, Helen Crecy (General), Beulah Thompson (Wayne) all of Brazoria, Linda Walker (Stephen), West Columbia; brothers, Eugene Thompson, and William Thompson of Brazoria, uncle, Ben Knoxon, Angleton; aunt, Doris Jean; god-daughters, Jazmyn Galjour and Kierra Battee, good friend, Jerri Newson, all of Houston; 2 grandchildren, Felicia Provost and Sephora Winn, both of Houston; sister-in-law, Vivian Resse; brother-in-law, William Brown both of Houston, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Michael Thompson, A.J. McGarity, Arthur George, Clarence Thompson, Jr., Jarrett Simon and Semaj Ward.
Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. same day as service.
