Louis “Russell” McKithan, 74 of West Columbia, TX passed away on November 17, 2024 at Chi St Luke’s Brazosport. He was born in Alvin, TX on May 19, 1950 to Chester and Eunie McKithan.
Russell served in the United States Navy and was a member of the Hunters Association. He enjoyed hunting, shooting, reloading bullets, making knives, leather crafts, taxidermy and watching old westerns, to name a few.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Chester “Boog” McKithan; granddaughter, Hope Faye McKithan-Vaughan and step-son Christopher Chambless.
Russell leaves precious memories with his daughters, Sarah McKithan Coleman, Rusti Kay Chambers; step daughters, Samantha Coleman and Kimberly Chambless; sisters, Lea Kutz, Gail McKithan, Mitzi Smith; brother, Hunter McKithan; 14 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and good friends.
Family will receive friends at Dixon Funeral Home on Monday, November 25, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Brazoria Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Larry Gilliam, Steven Clayburn, Paul Coleman, Justin Sirus, Michael Gilliam and David Gilliam. Honorary pallbearer will be Jim Lemaster.
