Lorine (Hall) Higgins

Funeral services for Lorine Higgins, 71, of Angleton will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Dixon Funeral Home – Angleton, with Pastor Benjamin Emanuel officiating.  Burial will follow at West Columbia Paradise Cemetery.

She passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023 at St. Luke Brazosport surrounded by her loving family.

Lorine enjoyed playing BINGO, loving on her grandkids, watching old black and white westerns, going to the Game Room and listening to music.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.

Lorine is survived by her husband, Andrew Higgins of Angleton; son, Andre Higgins (De’Onca Johnson) of Alvin; daughters, Allisa Cotton (Ernest Cotton, Sr.), Anitra Higgins (Yulonda Monroe), Kathryn Harrison, all of Angleton; special daughter, Chanteryl Hall; Goddaughter, Harolisha Ward; sister, Savannah Carethers of Angleton; brothers, James Hall of Angleton, Ronnie Hall (Trishan) of Vista, CA; special brother, Joel Ross “Rossow”; friends, Bobbie Alfrey, Rosa Olvera, Laura Handley; grandchildren, Ernest Cotton, Jr., Myles Higgins, Morgan Higgins, Chris Randall, Jasmine Randall; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Harold Hall, Robbie Hall, Terry Anderson, Harold Ward, Cyrus Jennings and Terry Harris.

Visitation will be Friday, May 19, 2023 at Dixon Funeral Home from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.
