Lisa was born in Wharton, TX on September 19, 1962 to Cheryl and Philip Brigance. She passed peacefully on May 2, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Lisa began her school years in Brazoria, TX and graduated from Columbia High School in West Columbia, TX in 1981. During her time there she was a proud member of the track team and served as Vice President of her class. She carried her Roughneck pride throughout her life.
In 1982, Lisa moved to Alaska where she spent the next five years. She made the move back to Texas when it was time for her daughter to start kindergarten. In 1993, she accepted a promotion that took her to Oregon, but after two years, her heart led her back home to Texas.
In 1999, Lisa made a bold and inspiring decision to pursue a career in nursing. She began her studies at Brazosport College and graduated from Galveston College in 2001, the same year that her daughter graduated from Columbia High School.
Lisa dedicated many years of compassionate service to others at Brazosport Regional Hospital in Lake Jackson, TX then transferring to Matagorda Regional Hospital in Bay City, TX for the remainder of her nursing career.
Family was the center of Lisa’s world. She found her greatest joy in bringing everyone together for family dinners, spending time outside, a need for speed, and listening to the stories and accomplishments of her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was proud to be their “LeeLee”.
Lisa is preceded in death by her mother Cheryl Brigance, grandparents Curtis “Poppy” and Geraldine “Gigi” VonCannon, grandparents Joe and Marie Brigance, uncles Larry and Bud VonCannon and nephew baby Phillip Brigance.
She leaves to cherish her memories daughter Stephany Miller (Michael) of West Columbia, TX, father Philip Brigance of Fairbanks, AK, brother Russell Brigance (Debbie), brother Kevin Brigance (Kelly) both of Brazoria, TX, grandchildren Madison Albair (Tre), Coy Miller, Shelby Miller, Christopher Albair; great-grandchildren Parker and Laramie Groze, Aunt Barbara VonCannon, Aunt Mary Ruth Rodenbaugh, nephew Jacob Brigance, nieces Bailey Brigance, Jessica Rangel (Matt), Jill Charanza (Aaron) along with a host of great nieces, nephews and cousins. Special friends James White, Joan Meazles, and Lauren and Casey Albair.
