Linda Sue Lamb of Richwood passed away peacefully at her home on February 19, 2024. Her loving family and faithful canine companions, Sadie and Kasie, were at her side. She was born on December 27, 1940 in Overton, Texas to Orville Clarksie Stroud & Edith May (Romine). Linda met the love of her life, Larry Lamb, while working in Alvin and they were married on July 29, 1965. They stood by their vows, made many sweet memories and created a beautiful life together. They could not bear to be apart as she departed this Earth just a few short months after him.
Linda was a fun-loving sweet soul with a heart of gold and a clever sense of humor. She had many interests such as bowling, crocheting, crafts and painting, but selflessly sacrificed her interests for the love of her children. She was a den leader in Cub Scouts, team mom for baseball, and took the family to Astros games, Astroworld and family trips as time and money allowed. Linda made friends easily and never met a stranger. She made lifelong friends through her love of genealogy. She was an amazing cook, which fostered the love of cooking with her children.
She is survived by her children Gary Keith Lamb, Larry Duane Lamb (Kay Chapman) and Kathy Lamb Eddlemon (David), brother Austin Stroud (Faye), Barbara Stroud and grandchildren James Keith Lamb (Shana), Shelby Lamb and Corbin Eddlemon and many nieces, nephews, cousins and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Larry, her parents O.C. and Edith Stroud, brother Gary Stroud, and sisters JoDean Gillium (Bud) and Carolyn Stroud Montero. We like to think the family is together once again laughing and enjoying their nightly poker games.
A small, private family celebration of Linda’s life will be held at a later date and interment of her cremains will be at Burks Cemetery in Salem, Arkansas.
