Funeral services for Lillie Carol Grear, 74, of Angleton, TX, will be Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church Family Life Center with Pastor G.R. Holland officiating. Burial will follow at Peaceful Rest Cemetery in Brazoria, TX.
Lillie passed away Monday, December 29, 2025 in Angleton, TX.
Lillie was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church where she served as an Usher. She was a member of the Rocking A-T Riding Club for over 40 years. Lillie worked at Sweetbriar in West Columbia, Freeport Welding for over 20 years and Chi St. Luke Hospital over 27 years. She enjoyed traveling, collecting shot glasses, riding horses, trail riding, dancing, zydeco music and shopping.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gylum Diggs; mother, Zula Mae Lemons; sister, Wanda Bernard and brothers, James Lemons and John Lemons.
She leaves precious memories with her husband of 46 years, McClinton Grear, Jr, Angleton, TX; sons, Tommy Phillips, Angleton, TX and Donel Phillips, Fresno, TX; daughter, LaToia Lemmons, Houston, TX; sisters, Jessie Williams, Houston, TX, Janice Times (Roy), Gyla Jan Hayes (Roland), Sammye Bryant, Dorothy Albro, Anita Times, all of Angleton, TX, Clara Moran, Jackie Dent (Michael), both of Richwood, TX, Linda Callahan (William), West Columbia, TX,; best friends, Ella King, Debra Ford (Joseph “Joe Boy”), both of Angleton, TX, Clara Lewis, Houston, TX, Rosalind “Roz” Hobbs-Brown, Missouri City, TX and Betty Rideaux, Lake Jackson, TX; 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Active pallbearers will be Kendrick Grear, Greg Grear, Terrence Harris, Sr., Terrence Harris, Jr., Joseph Ford, Jr., David Ford and Brandon Grear.
Honorary pallbearers will be Donel Phillips, Tommy Phillips, Gary Farris, Michael Grear, Reginald Grear and Josheph Ford, Sr.
Visitation will be Friday, January 9, 2026 from 4:00 -7:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Angleton.
