Lillie Darlene (Borders) Elrod

Lillie Darlene Elrod, 71 of Brazoria passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2019 surrounded by family. She was born March 16, 1948 in Temple, Texas to Andrew and Annie Borders.

If you asked someone to say one word to describe her: they would say words like Hardworking, Strong, Loving, and Giving. She was employed by the West Columbia ISD as a groundskeeper for the WC. Elementary Campus. She loved her job there; always taking pride in the how the campus  looked for the students, facility, and parents. Her hobbies were making home projects, crafts, fishing with grandsons, and watching her deer come up in the evening. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, her little dog Daisy and Cat Tater.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother Kelly Borders (Bubba)., Brother in Laws, Thomas Pisklak and Donald Carlson, Nephew Richard Pisklak, And Best Friend Thomas Elrod

She leaves behind to cherish her precious and loving memory; her daughter Michelle Elrod Roberts and Troy; Granddaughters Amber Roberts, Shelby Roberts and Nathan and Jamie Roberts and Jared; Great Grandchildren Kaiden Brown, Kaylor Brown, Korbin Brown, Addison Watson, Avery Roberts, Averie Lee and Delta Lee; Sisters Betty Carlson, Debbie Pisklak, and Vickye Mensinger and husband Lynn, and many other dearly loved relatives and friends.

She always said she has lived a good life and she didn't want anyone to mourn but to celebrate her life. So her family and friends will be holding a  Celebration Of Life at her residence on Saturday, August 17th between 4:30-7:30 pm.
