Larry Pinkney

Funeral services for Larry Pinkney, 59, of Freeport will be Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Angleton with Rev. E. Ramsey officiating and Pastor Marcus Lincoln eulogizing.

He passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023.

Larry was a 4 year letterman in football and track.  He loved spending time with family, especially his grandkids, playing darts, going to the movies and taking long rides.  He was also a Dallas Cowboy fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, L.D. and EdLena Pinkney; maternal and paternal grandparents, Roy and Roenna Boniaby and Christopher and Anabell Pinkney; nephew, Darron Boniaby, Jr.

Larry leaves fond memories with his son, Christopher Smoot; daughters, Latoya and Latosha Phillips and Zoie Alarcon; sisters, Diane Evans and Leslie Pinkney of Freeport, Chrisanna Poole of Houston; brothers, Garry Pinkney (Janette) of Brazoria, Darren Boniaby (Mandy) of Houston; best friends, Marcus Lincoln (Yolanda) of Freeport and Shawn Brown; grandchildren, Isaiah, Mariah, La’Niya, Amiri, Clarity James, William and a host of other relatives and friends.

Honorary pallbearers are Garry Pinkney, James Lovelace III, Zicas Wiggins, Glen Evans, Jr., Patrick Franklin and Ruthern Green.

Visitation will be same day as service from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
