Larry Charles Lamb of Richwood passed away peacefully at his home on October 31, 2023 after a short battle with cancer. His loving family and faithful canine companions, Sadie and Kasie, were at his side. He was born on October 15, 1941, in Ennis, Texas, to Albert Jackson and Doris Ward Lamb. Larry was an Army veteran and after his military service met the love of his life, Linda Stroud, at a finance company in Alvin and they were married on July 29, 1965. They stood by their vows, made many sweet memories and created a beautiful life together.
After his military service, he worked as manager of Bottom Dollar in Clute and Port Lavaca before moving to the Brazosport area in 1980 when he hired in at BASF (retiring in 2005). He loved going fishing with friends and family as often as he could and had a particular fondness for his time on the water in Lake Livingston and Port O’Connor.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Linda Sue Stroud Lamb; children Larry Duane Lamb (Kay Chapman) and Kathy Lamb Eddlemon (David), brother, Lonny Lamb and sister, Kelly Lamb Havlik (David); grandchildren, James Keith Lamb, Shelby Lamb and Corbin Eddlemon; and niece, Kaitlyn Havlik.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Doris Lamb and sister-in-law, Kathleen Murphy Lamb.
A small, private family celebration of Larry’s life will be held at a later date.
