Funeral services for Larry Darnell Bryant, 69, of Brazoria will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Hall Chapel Baptist Church in Brazoria with Pastor Ronald Simple officiating and Pastor Mark Bree eulogizing. Burial will follow at Peaceful Rest Cemetery in Brazoria.
Larry passed away on Friday, May 3, 2024 in Galveston.
He had a love for horses and was a trail rider for 40 years. He loved frying crabs for his family and friends using his secret recipe.
Larry retired from Conoco Phillips with 30+ years of service. After retirement he worked at Kroger in Lake Jackson where he greeted the customer with his famous saying, “God bless you and your family” or “Did you get your gift today?”
Leaving to cherish his loving memory are his three cousins, Rita A. York, Brazoria, Cora Mack and Julia Mack, Angleton; and a host of other relatives and friends. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
Active pallbearers will be Karlon Mitchell, Jason Harris, Ralph Hurd, Robert Higgins, Anthony C. Stovall, Sr. and Pastor Ronald Simple.
Honorary pallbearers will be Andrew Hobbs and Deacons of Greater St. Paul Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Friday, May 10, 2024 at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.
