Kurtis L. Shelton passed away on May 27, 2021 at St. Luke Hospital in Houston, Texas on May 27, 2021. He was born on July 7, 1965 in Sullivan, Missouri to Donna Faye and Jimmie Eugene Shelton, Sr.

Kurtis was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Eugene Shelton, Sr.

He loved building race cars and racing dirt cars at the track. He liked watching Nascar Racing. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends.  

He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his loving and devoted wife of 33 years, Sandra Shelton; mother, Donna Faye Shelton; daughter, Kimberly Nicole Stout and husband Jody; son, Kurtis Eugene Shelton and wife Heidi; brothers, Jimmie Eugene Shelton, Jr. and wife Tiffany Williams, Darren Scott Shelton and wife Donna Jeanette; grandchildren, Hunter Stout, Jacob Stout, Sara Lee Stout, Carsyn Faye Stout, Christopher Goodman, April Sherrouse and Aubree Sherrouse; numerous aunts, uncles, cousin, friends and a special little buddy, Josiah Williams.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, June 6, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria. Funeral service will start at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. David Jordan officiating.
