Funeral services for Kenneth Wayne Barefield, 65, of West Columbia, will be Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Dixon Funeral Home, 1211 South Brooks, Brazoria, TX, with Pastor Eric Gooden officiating.  Burial will follow at Bell Bottom Community Cemetery in Cedar Lane, TX

He passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024 in Angleton, Texas.

Kenneth was employed as a crane operator.

He enjoyed watching westerns, working on bicycles, hunting, fishing and listening to Blues.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his mother, Birdie Barefield; father, Elijah Barefield; brother, Elijah Barefield, Jr. and sister, Linda Austin

He leaves loving memories with his daughters, Kennette Johnson (Robert Lee III) and DeWanda Lashay Hall (Ondre); sisters, Gwendolyn Daniels, Vern Barefield and Nadine White; brother, Edwin Barefield; good friends, Mr. Juan, Jerrod Donley, Monte Ware, Roland Daniels, Jr. and Elijah Barefield; 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild and a host of relatives and friends. 

Active pallbearers will be Ondre Hall, Jr., Jerrell Hall, Monte Ware, Roland Daniels, Jr., Clavion Holmes and Kendarri Denley.

Honorary pallbearers will be Sir Draake Hall, Ivan Austin, Freddie Simmons, Jr. and Eric Ramsey, Jr.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. same day of service.
