Judith Ann Goolsby, 82, of Brazoria passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026 at her residence in Brazoria.  She was born on March 2, 1944 in Harlingen, TX to Walter and Lila Lee Phillips.

Judy was born and raised in Harlingen Texas, left in 1962 and moved to Michigan to begin raising her family. She moved back to Brazoria Texas to be with her mom in 1985 when she met Bo Goolsby and fell in love. They shared 40 wonderful years together; and their 40th anniversary was this past March on the 11th.

She had a wonderful career over at the Brazosport Hospital, working in several different capacities and was loved by everyone.

If you’ve had the opportunity to visit Judy and Bo’s guesthouse,  you’ve probably seen some of her taxidermy work hanging on the walls.

She loved gardening and collected shells from the beach by the bucket load that she paved an entire trail around the half acre pond in outback.

Her love for the Bible and faith in God reminds us all that she is home in Heaven.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Jerry Phillips and mother-in-law, Lizzy Sue Goolsby.

She is survived by her husband, James “Bo” Morris Goolsby of Brazoria; sons, Mel Stackpoole of Algonac, MI, Matt Stackpoole of Harrison Twp, MI and Dan Stackpoole of Yorktown, IN; daughter, Julie Forsmark and husband David of Flushing, MI; sister, Peggy Badders of Brazoria; best friends, Dena Clinton, Lisa Griffin and husband Bubba, both of Brazoria and Lynn Crisp and husband Jeff of Clute; 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Thursday, May 7, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria.  Burial will be at Brazoria Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time.

Active pallbearers will be Marcus Stackpoole, Greg Parris, Mel Stackpoole, Jeff Crisp, Cole Crisp, Bubba Griffin and Dan Stackpoole.
