Juana “Janie” Parras Ordonez, 90 years of age, was a devoted loving and admirable family woman. Her undying love for her family could be felt any time she spoke about her loved ones. Surrounded by loved ones, Janie transitioned from this life to “Life” on January 20, 2025. Janie was born in Taft, Texas on March 6, 1934. She was blessed with wonderful parents, Faustino and Manuela (Sosa) Parras. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Juan “Johnny” Ordonez Sr., her son Jose “PePe” Ordonez, 3 grandchildren, her parents and 8 siblings. Juana enjoyed embroidering, watching her telenovelas, cooking, gardening and her family and friends.
One of Juana’s proud moments was her employment of 21 years with Sweeny ISD. While Juana was proud of her employment with Sweeny ISD, she was defined by her Christian Faith and the love she graciously shared with her family and friends.
Juan Ordonez became her husband and love of her life on October 29, 1949. Her love for her husband continued even after he transitioned in 2014. Juan and Juana were proud parents to Johnny Jr, Cayetana, Jose, Carmen, Juanita, Lupe, Nicanor and Connie.
Juana’s survivors include her children, Johnny Ordonez Jr, Cayetana Martinez, Carmen Jammer (Elliott), Juanita Griffith, Lupe (Bruce) Thompson, Connie Ordonez, Nicanor (Marchelle) Ordonez. Other survivors are her sister, Andrea Ramirez, her brother Jimmy Sosa, 15 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 13 great- great grandchildren.
Juana dealt with her breast cancer diagnosis and treatments with grace and dignity....
