Joyce Marie Robinson

Funeral services for Joyce Robinson, 88, of Freeport, TX, will be Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 1615 Skinner St., Freeport, TX.  Pastor Reginald DeVaughn officiating and Pastor Charles D. Roberson eulogizing. Burial will follow at Peaceful Rest Cemetery in Brazoria, TX.  

Joyce passed away Monday, December 1, 2025 in Lake Jackson, TX.

Joyce was a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church and enjoyed watching sports, playing cards and going to bingo.

She was preceded in death by mother, Estella Lemmons; father, Alonzo Harrison; daughter, Edna Strauther; sisters, Willie Sidney and Dorothy DeVaughn; brothers, Sam Farris, Rafael Partain and Howard Harrison; grandson, Rayshaun Randon; son-in-law, John Henry Alston, Jr.

She leaves precious memories with her daughter, Jeanetta Alston, Freeport, TX; sisters, Bertha Edison, Houston, TX, Linda Griggs, Rosharon, TX, Earnestine Bailey, Los Angeles, CA; best friends, Mary Ann Sanders, Carolyn Johnson, both of Freeport, TX; 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers will be James Heard, Terry Darthard, Tyrell Darthard, Clifton Williams Sr, George Williams Jr, Robert Jackson and Pendleton Johnson.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 5, 2025 from 4-7PM at Dixon Funeral Home-Angleton.
